  • Josh Olaoluwa, Producer

    Josh Olaoluwa is an award-winning Producer who is keen on telling authentic African stories. He most recently worked at Ebonylife Studios, where he produced the Netflix romantic thriller ‘A Sunday Affair’ and ‘Oloture 2’, a Netflix Limited series.

    Josh also worked as producer and showrunner of ‘Grind’, a limited series that made its debut at the top spot on Amazon Prime’s most-streamed shows in Nigeria. In 2022, his short film ‘Naked Woman’, was officially selected by the Smithsonian Museum of African Arts D.C. to commemorate Nigeria’s 62nd independence.

    Josh is a 2023 recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts prize in the Producing category for ‘Love & Seclusion’, becoming the only African recipient in the fiction feature category.

    Josh was the Producer and Showrunner of two family sitcoms ‘Pepprsoup’ and ‘Daddy Yo’ that aired nationally in Nigeria, drawing an average audience of 5 million on its primetime TV.

    He also produced the Netflix documentary ‘The Making of A King’: a memoir on the process of producing ‘King of Boys’, Nigeria’s first Netflix original series.

    Josh is also a fellow at the Red Sea Labs Saudi Arabia, and Torino Film Lab Italy, where he developed his upcoming fiction feature.

    Josh is currently based in Los Angeles, where he is on a dual Fellowship at both the Film Independent Project Involve program, and Global Media Makers residency.

  • Vincho Nchogu, Writer/Director

    Vincho Nchogu is an accomplished independent filmmaker and science communicator.She has worked on international films, TV shows, and podcasts as a writer and producer.

    Her notable achievements include producing the critically acclaimed Brazilian biopic (Gabriel and the Mountain - dir. Felipe Barbosa) which premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and received two awards. She produced the East and central African segment of the Future Express series (NCVR), directed by Rob Hoff.

    Ms. Nchogu has also made a name for herself in audio- documentary creating the popular investigative podcast "Case Number Zero," which explored the disappearance of Kenyan journalist Bogonko Bosire. She also wrote and produced country of Gamblers, a podcast on the Kenyan gambling Industry. She is set to debut an upcoming investigative documentary podcast titled "Natural Justice," which she wrote, directed and produced

    Currently, Vincho is writing and directing "A Fantastic Tale," an adventure film set in Nigeria, and developing "Kedong," a Kenyan poaching thriller. Her work has been supported by prestigious organizations such as the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Film Independent, Doc Society, Red Sea Labs, and Torino Film.

  • Sarah Dorman Sveen, Producer

    Sarah Dorman Sveen is an independent producer and educator based in New York City. She recently co-produced Jamie Sisley's debut feature, STAY AWAKE (2022) which had its world premiere at the Berlinale where it won the AG Kino Gilde Auteur Award and was Honorable Mention for the Crystal Bear. Starring Chrissy Metz, Wyatt Oleff and Fin Argus, the feature is an expansion of the eponymous short film which Sarah produced, and which premiered at the 2015 Berlinale, winning both the National Board of Review Film Prize and Slamdance Grand Jury Prize.

    Sarah got her start in feature development coordinating in the film department at the Mark Gordon Company in Los Angeles, where she supported the teams behind Disney's THE NUTCRACKER AND THE FOUR REALMS (2018) (dirs. Lasse Hallstrom and Joe Johnston), SAND CASTLE (2017) (dir. Fernando Coimbra) and MOLLY'S GAME (2017) (dir. Aaron Sorkin). While at Endgame Entertainment in New York City, she supported the teams behind COME SUNDAY (2018) (dir. Joshua Marston), which premiered at Sundance and THE OLD MAN & THE GUN (2018) (dir. David Lowery), which premiered at Telluride.

    Currently an adjunct professor at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College, Sarah holds a BA in Literature from Mount Holyoke College and an MFA in Film from Columbia University. Her work has been supported by Film Independent and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. She sees storytelling as an enduring way to foster connection and deepen understanding of ourselves, each other, and the times we live in.
